It is going to be about three months before I have to be down in San Angelo, TX. Of course I have a job down there, my company bought this other company. Of course it is a big deal for me. I need to get our of my house, buy or rent another place down there and find all of the stuff you need to do. I need to figure out the internet, TV and power. I was doing some research and apparently you can pick your power company in Texas, you can read about it here, http://www.choosetexaspower.org/tx-puc.html. I guess that is something they have done there, but of course it is not something which is familiar to someone like me. I come a little town not far South of High Point North Carolina. If you want power in this part of the world you do not have to think about how it is going to happen. You call up Duke Power and they turn the power on. If you do not want to pay them, then you are out of luck.
I am already packing up stuff and trying to figure out how to get it down there. It is sort of a tricky question, because this is a long way for me to drive a rental truck. I figure that I could probably make it from here to Memphis in one day. That would mean getting up early and trying to get out on the highway early. I think I would want to avoid the part of I-40 up in the mountains. There is always some delay up there because of rock slides it seems. Of course if you get rocks across the road up in the mountains that is a big problem and could delay you for hours and hours
